The Starting Grid

This months car of the month is Harvey and Jessica's 1981 Plymouth Turismo TC3 convertible. This 80s Plymouth is very different, and a car you will likely never see another one of. It was manufactured by Chrysler as a standard base model TC3 then modified by AHA Manufacturing(Pony Convertibles) in the GTA area. AHA was and still is a premier builder of luxury coach limousines and these were an experiment in the public's reaction to a small North American built convertible. Only 28 Plymouth Turismo TC3 convertibles were made and this is the only one we can find that is still being driven on the road. The car is very basic, no power steering, manual brakes, a 4sp manual transmission, and the 1981 only robins egg blue engine block and valve cover. Being that it is all original the car is in fantastic shape, it does show its age but it shows it well. You really can't beat black on black with the little accents of polished aluminum, its a very sharp looking l-body. The car gathers attention everywhere it goes and is a crowd favourite at all the shows it has attended. Harvey and Jessica are very proud owners of such a rare and obscure piece of 80s Mopar history and intend to share it and show it for a long time to come.
